Jay,

I love the way you continually find beauty in simple things other people mindlessly glance over, missing what is right there. I always enjoy reading your captions and observations about the subject of your photography...so funny! I wish I could take in the view of Lake Shore Drive on my commute...Down here in Maryland, we have a few picturesque vistas your lens might fancy...if you ever find yourself down around the Delmarva peninsula, I'll hook you and your camera up!

Thanks for sharing your gift of capturing nature!

Hello and Merry Christmas Mr. Lady,

Your website is magical and you inspired me to contact you. I've never seen such flow in a website. The pause and shifting that occur as the images and verse ride along the pages immediately gave me the feeling of current. If you didn't intend that impression on a viewer, well, it's gotta be magic, 'cause it's there.

Anyway, I'm the fella that wrote River of Sand, the theme track for the documentary A Century of Fly Fishing History on the North Branch of the Ausable.  I have a couple of fly fishing folk music cd's out there check out www.AlanCayn.net

Be well. stay warm and keep your fly wet.

James,

It's obvious, upon reviewing your gallery of work, that you place incredible value on times spent outdoors. Your ability to capture the very essence of your experience through a lense is true artistry. I too, feel most alive while in the wild places and want to thank you for bringing me back "there" at least while taking in your amazing photograghy.  Hopefully many of our kindered spirits will find their way to your work.  I'll gladly pass on the word.

Sincerely,

Hi Buddy,

Lisa and I were on your site today marveling over your work... it's so solid. I don't know how else to describe work that seems to come from the soul... and can still have effervescence and have a bit of irreverent  humor. Your work resonates with me, and that's enough.

Keep up the good work my friend,

Thanks for sharing your website with me. It is truly breathtaking in places, and the placement of quotes from noted authors only accentuates the stark beauty.

Ansel Adams, through his black and white photos, taught me the beauty of the well constructed, well-thought-out, perfectly focused, black and white photo is a genuine work of art. I’ve labored for 40+ years in the vineyards of outdoor writing and photography in black and white and color, and your wonderfully talented b/w photos invoke deep feelings in a man who has spent his lifetime outdoors.

Fantastic photos that really embrace peace and serenity. To synergize the modern camera with rustic nature is an art in itself. The dichotomy between technology and nature creates inquisition and emotion around the awe of the untouched and untampered.

Jay, I am so impressed with your pictures. They are breathtaking. Reading your philosophy on life reaffirms that in your next life, you must be a writer!

I love all the photos you took. I always just thought you were a little unusual taking that camera around. Now I know better...you’re very unusual!  Great eye!  Looking forward to the next "Happy Hour"
